“What ___ looks like” is a blog project I’ve come across time and time again over the past year – and I made it a goal of mine to start my own for 2013. So, I collected a few of my favorite photographer friends, and asked them if they’d join me in this little photography journey throughout this year. I have five other lovely, talented ladies participating with me in a blog circle. We’re looking for others to join in as well – get in touch!
What ___ looks like is a project about life. About who we are, who and what we love, what we do. It’s extending what I already do with my photography while challenging me to experiment and focus. Each month I’ll choose a personal theme – something that’s important to me, something that I want to remember and share with others. That’s what fills in the blank.
This month, I chose to focus on something that is prominent in our home, and in our everyday routines. My girls and I love to read, on our own and together. (Dad takes over on the nights I work my other job – but I’m not here to take pictures. He’s barely a reader – you won’t see him here!) I had a hard time with this for a few reasons. 1: I’m often the one reading with the girls. 2: I don’t want to disturb them while they’re in their little book world! That means I have to be stealthy, but my big girl is receptive… every time I even pick a camera up off the shelf she knows.
I did, however, get some great, interesting shots.
So, quitting all the blabber, here it is.
What reading looks like.
Please follow the circle around, and check out what the lovely Rachel Allen has to share! =]
